AS part of their continued investment in training and technical support for customers, Volvo CE have opened a brand new training centre to ensure all their engineers gain the right skills and competence for the future.

Based at the company's UK headquarters in Duxford, Cambridgeshire, the £200,000 purpose-built school has more than doubled Volvo CE's training capacity in the UK with facilities including two large workshops, a component workshop and two fully equipped interactive classrooms.

Volvo will also be able to offer customers the opportunity to have own service engineers trained by Volvo CE trainers, providing a valuable technical resource for operators of larger fleets.

With the new centre open, Volvo CE will be expanding the course content on offer, which, they say, will result in a significant improvement in the service team's core skills, as well as keeping engineers up to date with changes in machine technology and legislation.
